Call for Applicants: Cog@Work Research Assistant – Policy Review [Lead]

Temporary part-time (up to a max of 10 hours a week for 39 weeks ending March 31, 2020)

Hourly rate:  $33 plus 4% vacation pay 

Start date: September 1, 2019

Job Description:

The Cog@Work project is funded by AGE-WELL, and involves a team of researchers from Wilfrid Laurier, University of Waterloo and the University of Toronto. Our project team is exploring how technologies can enable supportive workspaces for Canadians diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment or early dementia. An important component of this project is to understand the extent of the research and associated policy in our domain of interest. To achieve this we will be conducting a scoping literature review and policy analysis. This position will be the project lead for bothof these projects

What you will do:

With guidance of study team members, the Masters student will consult with a library domain expert, refine a literature review protocol and search strategy, review and summarize identified publications/resources, synthesize these results and contribute to the preparation of a manuscript for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.

Qualifications:

A Masters or PhD student in a relevant field

Experience conducting a policy review is required

Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills

Experience with qualitative data analysis

Experience using NVivo 

Experience conducting aliterature review would be an asset
