July 16th, 2020 – APPTA is proud to announce our knowledge translation partnership with the New Brunswick Innovation Foundation (NBIF), the New Brunswick Health Research Foundation (NBHRF) and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) on the COVID-19 Funding Program. NBIF, NBHRF, and ACOA announced today $846,707 in funding for 27 research projects across New Brunswick to explore new ways to detect and treat COVID-19 and to assess its effects on people, communities and the economy.

These research projects cover a wide range of areas, including testing technologies and methodologies, mitigating the spread of the virus, public health communication practices, educational reforms, community resiliency, heart health outcomes, alcohol consumption and the psychosocial impacts of COVID-19 on New Brunswickers.

APPTA will be sharing our expertise on knowledge translation, supporting the dissemination of research outcomes, and working directly with the co-funders and successful researchers to engage key audiences and maximize the impact of their work.
