Vancouver Policy Stakeholder Meeting

The APPTA Hub held its second Policy Stakeholder Meeting of 2018 in Vancouver, BC alongside AGE-WELL’s Annual Conference. The meeting brought representatives from ten jurisdictions across Canada together for discussions on alleviating social isolation of older adults, improving home care through technology, and developing an index to measure older adults’ wellbeing from a human rights-based lens. The meeting garnered significant insight into the supportive role a knowledge translation organization can play in the policy process, the value of technological innovations for older adults, and the common challenges Canadians are facing as they age.
